Sustainable Seedling Summit 2025
We’ve successfully wrapped up the second edition of the Sustainable Seedling Summit—a seed we planted last August, with the vision to bring together local SMEs, thought leaders, and industry partners to celebrate and showcase sustainable business practices.
This year, we were honoured to have Ms. Hany Soh as our Guest of Honour, who reminded us to embrace a seedling mentality—that every small, innovative idea has the potential to grow into meaningful, transformative change when nurtured with care, collaboration, and commitment.
We were also inspired by Just Keep Thinking, Man Jing, who shared her personal journey of turning her passion into entrepreneurship, encouraging us to stay authentic to our cause and avoid greenwashing. She also highlighted how market demand is shifting—especially among Gen Zs and Millennials—towards businesses that prioritise sustainability.
Our engaging panel discussion, moderated by Lisa Liaw, featured powerful insights from:
Esther An on why SMEs should report carbon emissions as part of MNCs' and listed companies’ Scope 3 calculations, and the support available through the CDL SME Supplier Queen Bee Programme, supporting SME suppliers to embark on their decarbonisation journey.
Eunice Yeo on Impact Investing—using capital to create positive impact while generating business returns and supporting meaningful causes.
Stephanie Dickson on how businesses need to be hyper clear about their mission and what they want to be known for in the world.
Vikas Garg on food sustainability, and how companies that win consumers' hearts by doing the right thing—even at a short-term cost—can build long-term value.
Ching Hwee from Association of Small & Medium Enterprises - ASME for sharing valuable initiatives for SMEs embarking on their sustainability journey.
