What is AMYTFLEUR?

Amy started AMYTFLEUR in 2015 while still in university and went full-time in 2018. AMYTFLEUR focuses on curating floral arrangements for weddings, workshops, and events. 

What is AMYTFLEUR’s approach towards sustainability?

AMYTFLEUR focuses on minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact of floral arrangements within the events industry. They strive to minimize the use of traditional floral foam, which is typically non-biodegradable, by replacing it with chicken wires and pin frogs. They are also exploring biodegradable floral foam! AMYTFLEUR actively seeks ways to reduce waste in the floral industry, including replacing floral plastic bags with recycled felt bags, encouraging customers to reuse or recycle them. They also pursue partnerships with individuals and companies interested in sustainable practices. 

What is heartwork?

Founded in April 2023 by Amy and Ann, heartwork emerged from their shared interest in sustainability. While Amy specializes in fresh flowers, Ann focuses on preserved dried flowers. They noticed the significant waste generated by events, as flowers are often discarded despite efforts to repurpose them. Heartwork extends AMYTFLEUR’s sustainability efforts by providing artificial flowers for rental, ensuring circularity. 

Why is Sustainability Important to You Personally?

Sustainability has always been a part of Amy's life, instilled by her late mother, who taught her the importance of recycling and sorting waste. For Amy, sustainability is not just about protecting the earth but also about ensuring a better future for generations to come.
